The name Patwino Worrtla Kodoi Dihi, pronounced Put-win-no War-klaw Kaw-doy De-he, translates to "Southern Rock Home of the Patwin People" in the Patwin language. This name, bestowed by the Tribal Council of the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation, pays homage to the land’s deep-rooted significance for the Patwin people, the indigenous inhabitants of this region. The park’s designation reflects a deep respect for the cultural heritage and historical ties of the Patwin community.
Located at 2061 Rockville Rd, Fairfield, CA 94534, Patwino Worrtla Kodoi Dihi Open Space Park is easily accessible and positioned to offer breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Starting from Saturday, August 24th, the park will welcome visitors Friday through Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., providing ample time to explore and enjoy the park’s features.
